There are many volunteer opportunities at Adams. Volunteers are greatly appreciated and essential to help Adams run smoothly. Your time and talents will directly help your child have a great experience at Adams. Your involvement will also help you get to know the Adams family and foster a greater sense of community. And don't worry if you aren't able to volunteer during the day - there are many ways to volunteer -be it at school, in the evenings at home,event-specific activities, etc. If you can't commit to a long-term committee don't worry! We can work around your schedule. We need you!

MOST PRESSING NEEDS
Mary, who runs the cafeteria, needs two volunteers per day from 11:35-1:25
for the remainder of the school year to keep lines moving smoothly. The first two lunchtimes have highest needs. If you are unable to help for the entire time, that's okay! Please indicate in the notes what time you can help if different than the whole shift. Sign up here
for slots through October. NOTE: You must have filled out your volunteer packet and be cleared by the office before you can volunteer in the lunchroom. The packet is available in the office or here
Carnival Chair: Which direction would you go if you could lead the end-of-year Carnival? We're looking for superstars to lead this fun event. Our experienced Carnival Chair from last year will be available to help guide the new team. Email us at email@example.com if you can help!
Alternatively, have a look at this partial list
of volunteer opportunities, and contact the person listed next to the description to find out more.
Do this BEFORE Volunteering at Adams Elementary or Chaperoning Field Trips
All school volunteers must complete a screening form (turn into the office and have your ID verified). In addition to completing a background check, you'll also need to fill out a Volunteer Application, review and sign the Volunteer Handbook, and complete a short online video course on preventing sexual misconduct. The forms, handbook and link to the video course can be found online at Volunteer Checklist.
Extra copies are also available in the school office. Completed forms should be turned into the office. Bring a Washington state photo ID
to complete the background check. We respectfully request that you do not turn in partially completed applications to volunteer and to please allow 2 to 5 days to process.
